The Manistee Saints had a disappointing debut in their ’24 season, losing three games to the
South Bend Royals by scores of 15-1, 17-1, and 13-1.
The Saints could not gain any momentum against a good Royals team, falling behind early in
all three games. Logan Lewis was charged with the loss in the opener, Blake Johnson took the
loss in the nightcap and Kyle Weiler went the distance and was the losing pitcher in Sunday's
game.
The Saints home opener is scheduled for Sunday, June 2, at 1 p.m. at Reitz Park.
SAINTS OPEN SEASON IN SOUTH BEND
The Manistee Saints open their 2024 baseball season on the road, traveling to South Bend IN
for a three-game series with the Royals over the Memorial Day weekend.
Manager Jamie Weinert has named Logan Lewis his opening game pitcher for Saturday’s
first game of a double-header. Game time at Boehm Park is 2 p.m. On Sunday the Saints will play
a single game starting at 1p.m.
The Saints home opener is scheduled for Sunday, June 2, at 1 p.m. at Reitz Park.
SAINTS RELEASE '24 SCHEDULE
The Manistee Saints have released their 2024 baseball schedule, featuring 25 regular
season games plus playoffs.
The Saints, celebrating their 90th anniversary, open the season in South Bend over the
Memorial Day weekend and return for the season's home opener on Sunday, June 2. The
home schedule features 9 dates including the National Amateur Baseball Federation Regional
Tournament at the end of July and the crowd-pleasing Legends Game on August 10.
SAINTS JOIN GCBL FOR 2024
The Manistee Saints have been accepted into the Gratiot County Baseball League for the
2024 season. The six-team loop will have teams in Breckenridge, Carson City, Fulton
County, Sidney, St. Louis, and Manistee. The Saints were previously members of the GCBL from
2007 through 2015.
The League will play a 20-game season plus play-offs beginning on Sunday, June 2nd.
The GCBL is the longest continually operating league in Michigan, beginning play in
1928.

SAINTS TO HOST NABF REGIONAL
The Manistee Saints have been selected to host the National Amateur Baseball
Federation Major Division Regional for the third consecutive year. The tournament will be held
at Reitz Park in Manistee on Thursday, July 25, Friday, July 26, and Saturday, July 27.
The winner of the Regional Tournament advances to the NABF World Series in
Chicago, IL the following Thursday through Saturday.
The NABF is the oldest national amateur baseball organization in existence, hosting
tournaments since 1914. Eight division tournaments range in age from 10 and under, through
unlimited age divisions.
